A Chuckie Sullivan hanahaki fic set in 1999 because I've been hyperfixated on this movie for far too long. Some of the non-canon details are lifted from the creators (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) life, but there's no RPF.
This fic is a love letter to the Good Will Hunting fandom and the brilliant authors I get to share these characters with.

Because honestly, what does Chuckie have right now? The same car from when he was 16, bowls of cereal on Saturday morning sitting in his mother’s house, and an unbearable love for his best friend. Chuckie will eventually get his life together, but he’ll be like every other guy on his block that settles down with a townie broad and pushes out a kid or two. It’s not a bad life by any means, but it’s not the kind of life that Will should have.
So while they take a smoke break, leaning up against Doug’s work truck, Chuckie has to break his own heart.

Damn it, it was happening again. Chuckie knew his ol’ pal Will was smart, sure. But that meant he stole a lot of the girls, much to Chuck’s dismay. While Will was preoccupied with grilling that MIT nerd, Chuck quickly grew bored when he was unable to understand a lick of what anyone was saying. He found it appropriate to distance himself from the squabble, walking back to the table where only Morgan now remained. Will, drama seeking as ever, had gone over to watch the fight carry on. And as the drinks were poured, beers were swigged, the two at the table both laughed with all of their half - intoxicated minds at a single word the other would say. Though as Chuck glanced back to Will, happily chatting with another broad that he’d taken away, Chuck would glance back to Morgan.
“Ey, I got an idea.”
