On Mina-Rau, Bix wants to raise her son in peace, while the legacy of the Empire still haunts the planet.
The setting diverges from official canon regarding the New Republic era. Everything from the films are canon in this fic, but with a mix of elements from Canon, Legends and Star Wars: Visions thrown in for good measure.

He'd always taken work seriously, it had been one of the first things they'd clashed about as youths back on Ferrix - but Cassian remembered when he'd been just as serious about honouring his time off. He allowed himself a withering grimace in Brasso's direction as he set his hands down on the ground behind him - it would be just like Brasso to provoke some conversation about an unsustainable work-rate by demonstrating it himself in the name of worrying about Cassian's missions.
He wouldn't be drawn, Cassian resolved. He was tired, but the post-mission adrenaline hadn't left him, and he felt curiously light-hearted, happy even, to have returned to a place that felt disquietingly like home. He wasn't about to spoil it by picking a fight about Brasso's shift patterns. Not least as the way things stood their downtime would overlap for a day or two.

Summary
Trauma is never far away from Cassian Andor, or from Bix Caleen. From the day when he is taken away from the second home he has ever known he is trying to find a home again. But Bix is also lost and trying to find a way to come home to herself. Sometimes, their search brings them to each other. But navigating a relationship while in a revolution is never going to be easy work.
A retelling of a few of the key moments of Bix and Cassian's relationship in the context of learning how to heal despite a lot of pain and a lot of bleeding. First chapter covers their early teenage years through to Cassian's return from prison and military service on Mimban. Next chapters will cover Mina-Rau and Coruscant including the unseen mission mentioned in episode 4. Chapter 2 is nearly ready so should be up in the next week or so.
