Full summary:
Anakin has been avoiding Obi-Wan ever since he faked his death on the Hardeen mission. It turns out, however, that avoiding Obi-Wan has been a bit too easy: Anakin's old master has gone missing on a mission far away. Traveling to the very distant planet of Pagora, Anakin intends to rescue Obi-Wan. But the journey is long, and when he gets there, he finds that Pagora has a thing or two in common with Zygerria and Tattooine.Meanwhile, Obi-Wan is struggling as he finds himself once again captured on a slave-planet. However, unlike on Kadavo, help is not around the corner. The Jedi temple is weeks away, if they can even afford to send help this far out... Can Obi-Wan escape before the cruel slave facility on Pagora breaks his will? Will he complete his mission to find a secret Pagoran Force weapon?
Will Anakin find him in time, and can this adventure mend their fraying bond?

In Ahsoka’s defense, she did meditate like Obi-Wan had asked her to. She just didn’t come to the same conclusion he apparently had about her going on the mission.In fact, the more she thought about it, the more she ran through similar scenarios and the particulars of this one, the more she was absolutely sure she was meant to be there.

Or: Anakin refuses to let Ahsoka come on the Zygerria mission, so she stows away instead.This changes everything- for the worse, for the better, and all the in between.

First of all, this is the first fanfic I've ever posted publicly.
Secondly, I know this fandom is kind of a niche within a niche, but there are some amazing writers out there who have already added so much to what was already there. I'm inspired by you, and your headcanons and fix-its.
I wanted a story featuring A’den and Ny, and also a romance that doesn’t feature a “nice girl” who Kal Skirata sets up with one of his eligible bachelor Null sons, because, well, where do I start? (I love these books for the most part; I really do.) There are some that got close, but I really had to write my own to get what I wanted. A’den is my favorite Null by light years, and I could go on at great length about why. I'd rather show than tell, though. I like Ny lots, too, and she deserves to be more than a love interest and late-in-life adoptive mom. OC came from the same place as Ny, in the story, and outside of it, too, probably. She’s an OC love interest largely because there aren’t any single blockade-running bad girls with checkered pasts in the source material, except as a joke. They’re Corellian because the culture fits, and it’s fun to write.
This all happened a long time ago and also far away. Allegedly.

The Zygerian slavers had taken a toll on the two Jedi Knights and their apprentice to varying degrees. For Anakin it was all unpleasant but there was a small reprieve in harming the empire and their efforts to expand. For Ashoka, she got to bring safety and comfort to her kin, regardless of the horrendous circumstances that preceded it. For Obi-Wan, well… Despite the numerous injuries, he presented just fine. A few minutes in the medical bay and he would be good as new. He was straight into the debrief without even requiring that much. Which seemed to pose a bigger issue for Anakin than it did for Obi-Wan himself.

This is not so much a story as a discussion on the state of Zygerrian-themed fanfics. While such a rich arc with many fanfic possibilities, there are relatively few fanfics, and even fewer complete works. While the ones that do exist are generally very high quality, I do wonder why they are so few and far between? Leave your thoughts in the comments, along with what you would like to see in Zygerrian fanfics. Personally, I am a fan of telling stories set during the arc, not after, and I like to get into the dark, gritty realities of slavery. What about you?
