Summary
“So,” Dan ventured, tapping the steering wheel with his thumbs. “Do your parents. Know..?”
“Do they know what, Dan,” Herbert snapped. “That we’re fugitives? That we were involved in two recent massacres, first degree arson, the collapse of an historic building, and the death of a cop? Of course not. Don’t be naïve.”
“No, no, I mean,” Dan huffed a breath, working up the wherewithal to be blunt. He watched Herbert from the corner of his eye. “Do they know you’re. You know. Gay.”

Summary
Hours before their trial, Dan visits Herbert in jail. When Herbert refuses to speak to him, Dan arranges a private visit, desparate to get a reaction out of Herbert—but he didn't plan to be begging on his knees.
Inspired by Red-Cicada's series of prison Danbert art (links in notes). Title from Arctic Monkey's Do I Wanna Know?

Summary
I was listening to the song "Silver Springs" by Fleetwood Mac and connected it to Lois post-Bride. It made me think about her experience in Star City and how she was coping for the month she was away from the --ugh-- chaos that was happening back in Smallville. The lyrics from the song are sprinkled through the chapters.
