Aonung had been taking the weaving lesson as his chance to be all touchy-feely with the man. Excessively adjusting Neteyam's hands even though the Omatikaya was learning impressively fast, letting his touch linger. All the while, Neteyam simply shrugged off the touchiness, and kept on treating him like he was his baby brother.
So, in that second, when Aonung's hands were holding Neteyam's, but the man was busy comparing the Metkayina's hands to his own hands back when he was 20, the actual 20-year-old there snapped — from both impatience and mild irritation.
He abruptly adjusted his hands, intertwined his fingers with Neteyam, and looked at the mildly taken aback Omatikaya as he said matter-of-factly:
"I think you'd look even hotter if you stop treating me like I'm your brother.”
Right to Neteyam's face.
The Omatikaya had kept his face carefully blank for a beat or two after that — before he wordlessly took his hands out of Aonung's and left unceremoniously.

Something was clearly wrong.
Neteyam confided in his family about this 'problem' he had been encountering ever since he made amends with the metkayina's oloeyktan's son.
"It's…weird," Neteyam stressed, scratching the back of his head in confusion while everyone else gathered around him in their family marui, attentively listening. "One moment he was tolerable, and the next- and the next it feels like he's purposely getting on my nerves, you know?" he pressed on, losing his mind over something so trivial.
Tuk spoke up first to give her opinion: "Maybe he's just being nostalgic?"
Neteyam furrowed his eyes. "Why would 'making me mad' be nostalgic?"
"Because that's all the two of you used to do some weeks ago!" Tuk reasoned, looking more and more sure of her deduction as seconds passed by.
Patting Neteyam's shoulder a couple of times, Toruk Makto said, "It's been so long since I heard anyone use this word, but…
"Son, I'm pretty sure he's ragebaiting you."
or five times Neteyam fell for ragebait. (Aonung was exactly where he wanted to be.)

Summary
After Neteyam is shot at the Skirmish at the Three Brothers, the Sullys grapple with the fear of having almost lost one of their own.
Jake and Neytiri desperately try to keep their children safe as each of them deals with their fear differently.
Lo'ak, Kiri and Spider just want to be seen, while Neteyam is now facing the possibility that he might never fight again.The war is not over, but Sullys never quit. And in the end, the light always returns.
