Summary
Jason Todd grew up with a fundamental fear of being seen. Not in the sense of shyness, but in the sense of shame. He supposed, if he wished to contemplate the fear’s origins, he might start where most tragedies do:
The house he grew up in.
Where the act of wanting was as good as a death sentence to that desire.
He supposed he might even make an argument for the statement “people become what they are called”. He thinks that might have some merit, looking back.
What he fears most, (like most other people), is how obvious it is to others. The fear itself.
He wonders if they can see it.or
Thanks to a rogue meta, the batfam gets to watch Jason's memories like a movie; and Jason just really wants a family again. But you cannot be loved if you aren't known, and well... if circumstances provide? might as well take the chance, right?

Jason would be lying if he said he didn’t know how he got here. If he said he didn’t know what actions in his life lead him to this.
He did.
He stood in front of the Wayne manor gates. A duffel bag swung around his shoulder. A grim look in his eyes and dread boiling over in his stomach.
These where the consequences of his action.
He couldn’t bare to impose himself onto his best friend a day longer, it was horrid enough that Roy was the one who had to find Jason in the state he did. Drag him out the tub.
OR
Failed suicide attempt leads to Jason going back to Wayne manor.

Tim Drake has lost practically all contact with the Batfamily after his falling out with them over batman's supposed death, now working as a vigilante outside of the Batfamily support he makes a small mistake in a fight and doesn't bother saving himself. Superman, on the other hand, does bother to save him.

essentially just me being incredibly pissed at dc writers for continuously sidelining tim drake, ruining his friendships by freaking retconning them and being absolutely STARVED for tim drake content in the big (almost) 2026 and resolving to solve this issue at once. (this will be a multiple part series of which this three chapter fic is the beginning !!)
