Jayce guards the councilroom, or something that resembles it. He's not sure why he's here, but he doesn't have it in him to care that deeply about it. He doesn't care deeply about much anymore, all things considered.
Viktor isn't sure what he's guarding, or maybe who he's guarding? All he knows is that this brash child holds the hammer that caused one of his deaths.

Besides the enflamed scar, Zuko looked strangely… handsome. His lighter skin glowed almost ethereally in the Artic sun, and his golden eyes were pools of honey that Sokka found himself drowning in. Sokka envisioned the banished Fire Nation prince to be a tall, old soldier with greying hair and a mildly xenophobic attitude. Zuko looked nothing like that. If only he wasn’t Fire Nation...
Zuko was having a similar epiphany. Who was this boy standing in front of him with elaborate war paint and the sharpest jawline he had ever seen? Who did this sun-kissed-skin, ocean-eyed, spiky-wolftailed vision of a man think he was? A fleeting thought passed through Zuko’s mind, If only he wasn’t the Avatar. Nevertheless, ogling pretty boys would never bring his honor back.

It was so confusing, Sokka envisioned the banished Fire Nation prince to be a tall, old soldier with greying hair and a mildly xenophobic attitude. This guy and his little pointy metal boots completely stamped that vision out.
If only he wasn’t Fire Nation...Zuko took off his helmet -- he was already half-blind in one eye and the armor was doing everything but helping his vision. He then met eyes that redefined the color blue. Who was this boy standing in front of him with elaborate war paint and the sharpest jawline he had ever seen on a person his age? Who did this sun-kissed-skin, ocean-eyed, spiky-wolftailed vision of a man think he was?
If only he wasn’t water tribe...--

What should have been an ending sparks a new beginning: A new life he'd never expected, but will fight to keep.
