   Summary

“I need you to tell me what you dreamt. Tell me, or else I’ll let you breathe smoke into my mouth without thinking any which way about it.”

“Oh, God, Simon,” Grace whines, the cigarette dangerously close to his lips. “It wasn’t bad, it, you were—we…”

   or:

Ryland Grace smokes cigarettes, and they don't necessarily fuck because of that, but it helps.

   Summary

A usual day of monitoring a nearby solar system brings a bright flash, blinding Grace. Looking back, the solar system is gone. A large void sitting, with a singular moon at its centre. Grace and Rocky go out to investigate, coming across a giant blood tree with a submarine wedged in the side. What they find inside isn't human, but it isn't not human either.
