Summary
“I don’t think you should self-diagnose. If you really thought it was that out of the ordinary, why did you not see a doctor about it?”
“I saw enough doctors as a kid to last me a lifetime,” Shawn said honestly. “When ‘cracked open like an alabaster jar’ is your point of reference for things that can be wrong with your chest, ‘kinda squidgy’ doesn’t really register as being worth investigation.”
It takes Shawn a long time to find the right words for the complicated relationship he has with his body.

Summary
Retired Detective Henry Spencer has been living as a man for the past thirty five years, and he has worked like hell to make sure nobody knew him as anything different. Outside of a very, very precious few, no one in his life knows his secret--not even his own daughter, Sarah. And he wants to keep it that way.
Shawn Spencer has returned to his home town of Santa Barbara, almost two years after he finally began his transition. He has the SBPD convinced that he's a psychic, he's investigating a kidnapping, and he's about to ask his dad for some advice. The only problem is, he hasn't seen his dad in two years. His dad has no idea that he's not Sarah Spencer anymore.
A tale of two trans men.

Summary
Carlton Lassiter did not shriek. And he certainly didn’t make whatever high-pitched squeal Spencer and Guster made every single time they stumbled across a body. If the noise that came out of his mouth happened to be a little high, or a little squeaky, it was merely the acoustics in the bathroom warping the sound as he whirled around.
“What’s the matter, Lassie?” Spencer asked, head titling to the side. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”. . .
A routine missing person’s case lands Spencer in a coma, but of course that doesn’t stop the ‘psychic’ from wiggling his way onto the case and annoying the hell out of Carlton. Saddled with the specter of a not-quite-dead Spencer, the two have to figure out how to work together to solve the case before Carlton loses what little remains of his sanity.

Summary
Hoping to protect his reputation, a mysterious client is offering an enormous amount of money for a private detective to steal an incriminating picture back from his ex. It sounds an awful lot like the premise of A Scandal in Bohemia, but if Shawn is Holmes and Gus is Watson, who is Irene Adler?
