Sometimes he’ll watch ones with the other cast members as well, but never ones without Sam. Every awkward moment. Every fumbling answer. Call it his desire to overanalyze or nitpick and critique himself, or maybe he just likes to see how sweet and innocent their flirting was before things got complicated.

That Illya was partial to donning disguises for missions had come as a surprise after Rome, but apparently it’s part and parcel for KGB operations. Napoleon had given him no end of grief the first time he pulled out a fake mustache, and he still does, if he’s honest. How could he possibly resist, especially when Illya glares at him and turns such an appealing shade of pink?
That’s probably why most of the time Illya doesn’t tell them about his disguises anymore, he just shows up in them and forces Napoleon to have to keep a straight face in the middle of a mission.
(Or, 5 times Illya doesn’t fool Napoleon and Gaby with his disguises, and 1 when he does.)

Illya might touch him a fair amount—a brush of a hand against a shoulder, or on his lower back, almost like he doesn’t know he’s doing it—but they’ve never hugged. Of course they haven’t, they’re two grown men and spies besides, on opposite sides of the Cold War, even though they’re partners now and Napoleon might be a little in love with him—
“Can I hug you?” Napoleon asks before he can stop the words from coming out of his mouth.
(Two scenes in which emotionally repressed spies find comfort in each other's arms.)
