Summary
The problem with arguments is that they never happen at a good time. Which is a to be expected given their nature. And the problem with trying to make up is, at least in the Pegasus galaxy, they come at an even worst time. Especially when John and Rodney get stuck off world, running from some locals who took a dislike to them immediately and five days after an argument that, in John's opinion, had started over nothing.
But at least they were together?

John could see the crowd roaring, their hands in the air and mouths open in shouts of joy, but all he could hear was the pounding of blood in his ears. He could see the center fielder begin the throw to third as he approached the base, but he knew that it wouldn’t make it in time. In a split-second decision, he chose to push on for home plate. If they tagged him out at home, Atlantis would lose, but if he made it? Well, they’d be world series champs for the first time in franchise history. John’s heart raced with the combination of adrenaline and exertion, and as he saw the ball flying over his head towards the catcher's mitt, he dove.
