    Shortly after Akashi Seijuurou ascends the throne of the Great Teikou Empire, he marries his childhood sweetheart, Kuroko Tetsuya, and names him Empress. Yet the Empress cannot bear a child, an unspoken truth that hangs like a shadow over the palace. But Seijuurou is the Emperor. He is expected to produce an heir.
