    Kalia plays Etherwilds, an MMO that allows the user to link their mind, diving into the world on the other side of the screen and becoming the hero they wish to be. A high level player confident in her abilities, she's surprised when a new update allows even run-of-the-mill enemies access to new abilities originally only given to players. A particularly unfortunate encounter reveals that some of these combinations might be a bit overpowered when a simple goblin gains the ability to tame humans and edit them to be a pet-class creature within the game's world, and Kalia discovers how dangerous mentally linking with her character can be.
