Formerly “And They Still Die In The End”
Michael Afton is 12 years old. It’s a bit of a weird age to be at, to be completely honest. Lots of things start happening at 12. He’s fairly sure that blood-red dreams and semi-frequent bouts of headaches and dizziness aren’t, though.
Time-travel “fix-it” fic but not. Afton siblings galore. The plot might be kinda slow paced because there are just. So many details to work through here. Tags will contain spoilers later on.

Summary
Timothy shares a disturbing amount of similarity to the abused cats Damian's treated in the shelter. A child of their social status should not be this thin, nor so obviously starved for attention. Damian spent his childhood among the assassins, and even he wasn't that bad off when he was delivered to his father. The kid manages to mistake his cool politeness for affection, and follows him around like a little duckling. Or a kitten.
Damian might or might not have warmed up to him rather fast after he makes that connotation.
Or
Reverse batkids, Damian loves his baby brother. When Tim doesn't survive an encounter with the Joker, Damian has to survive the aftermath.

Jason’s honestly surprised he doesn’t get a knife in the gut for that. Tim is wise enough to keep his mouth shut.Wise - Jason decides firmly - but also breathtakingly stupid, because he takes two steps away from the truck and almost falls flat on his face when his injured leg gives out.
Jason catches him, right in time for him to say, “Right. Stab wound. Forgot about that.”Jason sighs, casts his gaze to the sky, and mentally apologizes to Bruce. He’s herding cats here. He and Dick weren’t this bad, were they?
(They were, he knows they were, which just makes this whole fiasco even more annoying.)
