Summary
The life of a temple slave is short, unpleasant, and generally ends in sacrifice.
Tim is doing his best to just get on with life in a city ruled by primevil gods and their bat-shit crazy priests. All Tim wants to do is keep his head down, and avoid catching anyone's attention.
It turns out Gods share a lot of traits with cats. The less you want attention, the more curious they get. Tim might want to fly under the radar, but Jason has other plans.

When it starts, it’s easy to hide.
He knows how Bruce would react: "Emotional maladjustment," with a stiff mouth and a posture that says he has too much on his plate to deal with this. Dick would… probably cry, even if he didn’t show his tears to anyone, and then he’d feel responsible, though Tim is hardly a child. If he ever found out, Jason would call him a fucking idiot before storming away. And Damian… well, he’d be happy and snipe that Tim should go deeper next time.
