Summary
Series title based on the line, "Whether Roger returns or not..." from episode 12 of season 4. Just a collection of one shots I've been working on since season 5 that explore the idea that Roger never returns or at least doesn't stay. Plus a few moments that I feel should have been added to the canon stuff in the show. They are not in order, I was planning to post starting from season 4 first, but it looks like it may be the reverse. There may be a chapter or two where the rating may go up to mature or explicit, but generally it should be relatively innocent. I love this pairing and I wish more fic existed for them, so here is the beginning of my humble contribution and I hope you enjoy it.

Summary
Three years later, Mizu finally returns to Japan after having completed her quest. Obviously, things have changed, though she isn’t prepared for just how much. It turns out Kohama seems to have been livelier without her. Akemi, Swordfather, and Ringo have come together in her absence, forming their own community with new traditions and habits. Akemi’s constant presence at Kohama, along with her new attitude and influence over Mizu's family, appears to be the most puzzling aspect of it all.
