Summary
“Earth has been ruined by humanity’s ignorance—by their obsession to be the best.
Captain Ninomae Ina’nis. Another angel brutally slain by those monsters. She was a good soldier—one of the best I’ve ever met. She… she was my best friend. Still, no matter how strong—no matter how good of a soldier—a person you are, humans will still take, take, take. Let this be a lesson, soldiers. Humans deserve everything that’s coming to them…”
Magenta eyes shone with tears as they swept over the field of angels. With a shaky breath, she raised a sword engulfed in orange flames and let it spread to her wings.
“GLORY TO THE ANGELIC ORDER!”
The sea of soldiers roared with her. “GLORY!”
In the corner of her eye, the newly appointed captain spotted two figures with blue eyes in the crowd. The one with blonde hair gave a disappointed shake of her head and disappeared deeper into the horde. The other looked at her with eyes full of heartbreak.
They’ll understand. They’ll learn to embrace it.
