Reo let out a breath he didn’t know he’d been holding.
“...Oh. Of course I don’t, silly, the last time we—” He caught himself before he could finish that sentence, and cleared his throat hastily. “Um… y-you know… it was yesterday…”
Letting out what could only be described as an unhappy hum, Nagi lifted his other hand and brought their wrists together.

“Same here,” Chigiri said. Nagi waited. “It’s good to finally put a face to the name, Isagi."

“...Nagi?”
Nagi—because it is, it must be Nagi from the future—turns to look at him, a hand on the back of his neck. He looks… familiar, more familiar than Reo would expect. Then again, it wasn’t like Nagi was the type of person to change radically in the future.
“Oh, hi.”
They’re silent for a while. Reo clears his throat. Without meaning to, his eyes keep flickering to different parts of Nagi. He’d forgotten to ask Ego how far into the future this device would let him see into—and he tells himself the reason he inspects Nagi is to deduce that piece of information, and not just because Nagi has grown into quite the handsome man, but that doesn’t entirely explain why Reo’s eyes keep trailing to Nagi’s hand without fail.

Reo doesn’t know why he’s so surprised. Nagi was one of the most popular players in the Blue Lock program. Obviously, there was the possibility he would get married. And sure, Nagi didn’t look too much older, and sure, maybe Reo hadn’t expected Nagi to get married so quickly, but—
