When Oscar practically burst into Lewis’ Driver’s Room in Las Vegas between the cancelled FP1 session and the delayed FP2 session, Lewis thought he could be forgiven (or at very least understood) for assuming there was some kind of emergency. Also, the older driver had been half asleep, George slumped comfortably against one shoulder, so he could admit that maybe he wasn’t at his most logical when Oscar appeared, facial expression just as wild as the untamed waves atop his head.
“Oscar?!” Lewis jolted up, alarmed. The movement, of course, dislodged a still sleeping George, who grumbled moodily.
“Thanksgiving!” was all the McLaren rookie blurted, somewhat nonsensically.

“We’re both in the fifth year. Dick is only taking a special selection of classes, nothing that requires a wand. I still need to get a wand,” Wally calmly mentioned.
“Yeah, I never really learned how to use a wand and no offense but I’m not comfortable using one. I’ll stick with my cards thanks,” Dick said as he took a seat at the table, separating the major from the minor out of the new deck Bruce got him before he left.
“What do you mean you don’t use a wand? Ever wizard and witch learn from using a wand!” Hermione asked shocked.
“Oh, are you a squib?” Gred and Forge asked at the same time, excitement in their voices.

Through the carnage came a figure cloaked in shadow, she appeared to move through the bodies rather than step on top of them. Even standing somewhere around seven or eight feet tall, she was far too humanoid to be a foe, they had long since abandoned their ruse of playing at humanity. She wore a cloak that appeared to dissipate and knit together like threads of smoke, the gossamer threads like the grey of a new dawn. Under the hood, he could only just make out her eyes, a clouded sky blue, pupils, and her gaze unending.
She stopped before him, their eyes meeting through his tears. There was no empathy in her gaze, only his own agony reflected back at him, though her hand was light as a soft breeze as she tipped his chin up.
“Please,” Dick said, even though he didn’t know what he was asking for: release, mercy, death.
“You long to go back.”
“Yes.”
“For a different outcome.”
Dick nearly choked on the word, “yes.”
“I can make it so. I can give you the gift of foresight, but I warn you, it comes at great sacrifice as it does for anyone else who it is bestowed upon.”
Dick Grayson may not be able to change everything, but my god, is he going to try.
