Summary
Ten years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Lucius Malfoy had reached the end of his rope, cursed and forgotten by the world he once thought couldn't function without him, utterly alone and invisible to all until he catches the eye of the one person least interested in seeing him.

Summary
Hermione Granger takes a mandatory sabbatical in a secluded mountain cabin to recover from a hurtful divorce and burnout at work, but a malingering occupant disrupts her plans of consuming knowledge and relaxing in nature. Lucius Malfoy is not the man she’d thought, and in pursuit of learning who he has become, she discovers just how much she has been denying herself — her desires, her worth, her power. But, as it goes, a rude reminder of their pasts and incompatibilities pushes them back into their respective lives and the patterns they’d thought they had shed. Hermione must face her chosen family and friends while processing what happened in the cabin, scramble to stop a Ministry plot that would rewind the social progress made since the war and threaten Lucius’ future, and come to terms with the fact that she has fallen for a viciously flawed man who seems hellbent on sabotaging himself.

This is a post-war fling fic that sprouted wings of political intrigue, character examination, and one too many subplots. WIP with end in sight.

Summary
Seven years after the defeat of Voldemort, Hermione Granger is tired of the Ministry not taking her work seriously in the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. After being ignored one to many times, she decides to take matters in her own hands and finds an unlikely ally in none other than Lucius Malfoy.
(If you're like me when reading and sometimes get impatient with the expositional plot, 5 is when Hermione and Lucius interact. I need the plot though to make this believable when I'm writing though lol. Updates once a week!)
