Summary
Aang awakes to a world at war, and to two young Water Tribe siblings not much older than himself. With winter setting in, and no interference from the Fire Nation, Aang is convinced to stay in the South Pole until spring arrives, and with it, the Water Tribe fleet. Escorted by the warriors of the Southern Water Tribes, Aang travels with Sokka and Katara to learn waterbending from the Northern Water Tribe and prepare for his fate to one day defeat the Fire Nation and return harmony to the world. But life in the Northern Water Tribe is full of surprises, and Aang cannot hide from the world for long.
A coming-of-age story about Aang, Katara, and Sokka in the Southern and Northern Water Tribes as they grow into strong young people ready to fight the Fire Nation.

Bao lost his ability to walk when he was 19. Despite the prejudice of many Fire Nation citizens, he got a job as an accountant in the Royal palace, in the Department of Education. After 11 years of working quietly, keeping his head down and allowing his work to be claimed by others, he expected nothing to change when Fire Lord Zuko took the throne. He didn't expect the entire department to be reformed under the new Minister Shu-Lin, and Bao's overlooked position with it.

Summary
Serving in the Fire Lord's palace promoted a realistic sense of caution, of fear. Servants who caught the eye of those in power often didn't have happy endings. After Ozai and Azula, and Azulon and Sozin before them, there was no reason not to believe that the newly-crowned Fire Lord Zuko didn't also share the little family tradition of cruelty to servants. After all, everybody knew that he had challenged his own father to a duel, that he had a short temper, that he was a powerful bender, that he had hunted the Avatar for years before dethroning his sister.
So when serving-boy Shin starts being watched by the Fire Lord, he naturally assumes the worst. Of course, Zuko is nothing if not Extremely Awkward, and ohAgniwhyisthatservantsocute?
