“I mean, I guess? It started off as a joke in my head but now that I said it out loud it doesn’t sound that bad. Like—platonically. Roommates with rings. It’s not that weird. People do it.”
“You proposing, Uzumaki?”
“Not unless you say yes,”
“You’re an idiot.”
“Is that a yes?”
“...Sure. If we’re both still single at 35, I’ll marry you.”
They made a deal—sort of. If they were both still single at 35, they'd get married. It started as a joke. Kind of. Maybe. But now the date’s creeping closer, and suddenly it doesn’t feel so funny anymore—especially not the thought of waking up next to each other.

Even the chakra signatures are frighteningly accurate. For a second, Hound recalls the seal’s sigil for “time,” but casts the thought aside as soon as it forms.
