“Love! He loves me!”“That’s what you wanted, right?” Pushing off the table, Zoro went to pat a nervous Sanji on the back. “He's your “nephew” after all?” The sly smirk signaled his knowledge of how false that initial explanation was.
“Shut up!” Now he put more power into the kick and knocked Zoro back into a seat. “It’s just–does he even know what that means? Does he know what love feels like? Do I know what love feels like? It’s such a big word. Maybe I’ve just gaslit myself my entire life.”
A nervous chuckle emanated from Usopp as Nami groaned and ran a hand down her face. “You know what love is, Sanji. We all love you. You love us. That’s what love is.”

The word slipped out of him in a whisper, then again, louder this time, bubbling with sudden laughter. Soulmate. He liked the way it sounded, dripping with promise and happy endings. His cheeks burned just saying it, but he couldn’t stop grinning. He hugged the book to his chest, heels kicking against the mattress like he could barely contain the fizz of joy in his veins. Somewhere out there was a person who would hold his hand, look at him with adoration, and kiss him soft and slow under the moonlight. Someone who would choose him – just him – over and over, and say, I love you, soulmate. And it would be the most romantic thing in the world.

“-Zoro lost his ability to regulate his temperature. He won’t sweat, shiver, or be able to tell when he’s too hot or too cold. When he fought Luffy he pushed himself to hyperthermia without realising, and the heatstroke made him faint. Maintaining that temperature could cause heart and kidney failure, then major damage to his brain, and even-“ Chopper squeaked as he made eye contact with Zoro, who was giving him a disapproving look while he rolled the thermometer between his teeth with his tongue.
“We all know Mosshead doesn’t have the brain cells to spare getting brain damage, so what do we do?” Sanji piped up, earning a growl from Zoro across the room.
“There’s no solution quite like skin to skin contact. Hugs with as few layers as you’re comfortable with. Just like a baby bird!”
Sanji snorted, trying to reconcile the fuming swordsman with any kind of cute baby animal. Especially when Zoro looked like he was debating homicide or suicide, but it would surely be one of them.

It’s normal for them to come back from a battlefield with wounds, hell, by now it’s uncommon not to. And Zoro knows that Sanji is strong enough to take care of himself, so despite being his nakama he doesn’t really have any reaction to the cook getting hurt,
That is until this time.
Or, Sanji got hit with a devil-fruit that make him go in his worst nightmare
