Peter Parker keeps his identies sacred and far apart. Nobody can know he is Spider-man or that Spider-man is Peter Parker.
It's simply just not safe. At all.
It's not an easy thing to do when Peter Parker craves connection and friends. He's already let himself befriend Tony Stark and be Iron Man's assistant outside of his Spider-man duties. He thinks he can get away with it, he was doing really well.
But apparently, Peter's skill was spotted by the wrong eyes, so now he's being targeted, an evil man wants him on his side.
But he wouldn't possibly give in. Even if they managed to find out the one secret he's desperate to keep from everyone he loves.

Everything's different, and what's worse is Peter's different; he's not the thirteen-year-old they lost, and they aren't the people Peter lost either.(or: older canon Peter Parker wakes up in the ideal fanon Avengers universe where everyone survived except him, and nothing about being alive again feels like a second chance.)

Summary
