And yet his focus solely lied on Cyno’s full lips, adorned with orange-red light thanks to the flame before it was gone.
The desire to kiss Cyno bloomed further in his chest, to the point it drove him mad, and archons, he had to restrain himself, or else he truly will stand up, grab him and just press his lips against his.

Tighnari blinked several times, gaze unfocused, the tip of his tail wiggling lightly. When he blinked more, his eyes fell in his direction. And slowly, slowly he looked more concentrated, a hint of confusion mixing in his mimic. “Cy… Cyno…?” Sleepily mumbling his name in perplexity, he began to yawn, still lying on his side on the bed while not tearing his eyes away from him. “Cyno, is that you?”

Phainon may have started panicking. At the bare minimum, he felt blindsided— Mydei was purposefully being combative, despite Phainon having been nothing but amicable, and now he was making it sound like Phainon was the one in the wrong.

Be it through ignorance or wishful thinking, Phainon interprets Mydei's shamelessness as a direct provocation to settle the score between them, following the event of their ten-day, ten-night battle resulting in a draw.
