“You scared, Juliet?"
Juliet places her hands on her hips and turns to face him, takes a step closer, much to his surprise. She usually doesn’t play into his games like this. Typically, she hits him with some witty remark or a dismissive roll of her eyes. His throat suddenly feels dry and he has to force himself to swallow, to breathe out through his nose to steady the annoying skip of his heart.
