"I haven't told any of you this because I don't want you to see me differently," Will started. His voice was soft, melodic, and Richie felt like he was being hugged by a cloud. "But the truth is... I am different."
Will took a shaky breath. This was it. The big reveal. The moment the music swells.
"I just… I don't like girls."
The silence that followed was heavy. It was the kind of silence that usually preceded a jump-scare. Mike looked like he had been hit with a brick. El looked confused. Dustin looked like he was doing math in his head.
Richie Tozier, however, did not stay silent.
He let out a sound that was somewhere between a pterodactyl scream and a sob of pure relief. He threw his hands into the air, his Hawaiian shirt fluttering.
"I KNEW IT!" Richie screamed, his voice echoing off the concrete walls.
OR Richie Tozier has spent his quarantine pining for Will Byers. When Will finally delivers his dramatic coming-out speech at WSQK headquarters, Richie took his chance.

Richie snapped his fingers. “Ah, the classic ‘How Did The Bard Snag The Cleric’ tale! A masterpiece of modern romance, I assure you. It involves existential dread, very aggressive pining, a high school cafeteria, and my ability to tell which nerds are actually hiding a magnificent freak show beneath the surface.”
Richie threw an arm over Will’s shoulder, pulling him close for a quick, searing kiss.
“Oh, I’ll give you details, Henderson,” Richie promised, “I’m not holding back. I’m not softening the edges. I’m going to tell you the unvarnished, uncensored, utterly depraved, and ridiculously romantic truth of how Will Byers and I became the superior pairing. You all better ready your ears, because I won’t be censoring the filthy bits, the angst, or the fact that Will has a lot of hidden stamina.”
OR They finally tell the tale of how their relationship started.

Summary
Mike had seen Will scared. He’d seen him quiet, cautious, defiant, brave in ways no one else noticed.
But he’d never seen him like this— nail bat in hand, every swing clean and brutal, every movement sharp with purpose. The fight should have left Mike frozen with fear, but instead he found himself watching in awe and something he couldn't quite name.
OR: Mike sees Will in battle for the first time and learns some things about himself
