Summary
Tsubaki begins her day, as she does every day, with a knife to her throat.
It’s a small blade with a plastic handle, neatly tucked under the thin slat lining the bottom of her sock drawer. She locks her door quietly, and tiptoes to the dresser to retrieve it; her mother is still asleep, and will be for another thirty minutes. Just enough time for her morning ritual. The knife slides out easily. It’s light in her hand, and when she runs her thumb over the edge of the blade, it leaves a thin white line that seals itself over in a breath. She ignores it.

Summary
They arrive at the testing site fifteen minutes later.
Izanami exits last, hanging towards the back as the other students scatter in a loose crowd around the gates. Some of them are stretching; others are chattering amongst each other, or studying the testing site, what limited amount of it is visible. Izanami doesn’t join them; she takes six steps away, so she’s towards the back, and goes over her plan.
Only four Quirks. [Float], as the base, with [Propulsion] for movement, and [Compounding Interest] and [Muscle Augmentation] for refining. She’s tested it before, late at night, at the scrap-littered beach where nobody visits. At a glance, it can pass for a single Quirk, albeit one stronger than most, and it’s the one she put on her file. Anything else will tip off Nedzu, who has to know about him, or, worse, All Might.
If the rumors are correct. Izanami swallows, prays that they aren’t, and knows they will be.
