Summary
The priest signaled for them to turn to face one another and for Louis to lift her veil. As he drew up the cloth to drape over the back of her head, he was struck to see her fierce green eyes once again. This time they were red, puffy, and wet with tears. But, her eyes were narrowed and he could see that she was shaking with anger. Louis' mouth hung open in shame at that chastening sight and could not help but feel that he was doing something unforgivable to this woman.

“I wanted to apologize for how I acted when I played you in shogi. I was … very rude that day. To say the least.”
She laughed. He hadn’t expected that answer. “It’s fine. I wasn’t the nicest to you either, I guess.”

She thought for a moment, her fingers stroking her chin. “Like a date?”

Summary
“I wonder if there is anyone alive today who has seen the ocean. The book only gave a brief description of it, but I often wonder what it would be like to be there. What the air must feel like. What it feels like to swim in it. What kinds of animals live there. Nothing but water for miles. With nothing to obstruct your vision — no trees, no walls — the sunsets must be incredible,” Armin mused.
Margaret enjoyed seeing him like this. She supposed “this” was happy. Hopeful.
"Tell me more about the things in that book.”
