«Don’t touch it.»
Harlequin turned towards him, his smile so wide it reached both his ears. «Otherwise? What happens?»
The tips of his claws brushed against the stoppers of those small vials arranged on Doctor’s table, in the dim light.
The red monster didn’t even turn in his direction, but stood with his arms crossed, watching his Fools at work, cleaning the scaffold in his tent of the blood from his latest experiment.
«I don’t know.»
Harlequin’s enthusiasm waned a little at that reply. «What do you mean, you don’t know?»
«It’s material destined for disposal. My latest experiment didn’t go as planned.» Doctor’s eyes glinted beneath his hood and turned towards him. «I can tell you what the consequences are on a human body, though. In tiny details.»
Harlequin snorted. «As long as it doesn’t make your head or your balls explode, I don’t care.» He grinned again. «Does it do that? Does it make your balls explode?»
«No, but—»
