Summary
"Home" was a word that still felt foreign to Silverr, tasted strange on Silverr's tongue, and stumbled hesitantly coming out of his mouth. Sometimes the bizarreness of it all caught up to him suddenly, made him fumble in the middle of conversation, and made Reign look at him in that concerned and curious way that made Silverr feel sick. Sometimes it all hit him with the force of an angry hoglin, but Silverr couldn't run from the mental tusks attacking him without mercy. He couldn't tower out of reach of the incessant thoughts that dogged his steps, that crept up on him at night, that made him hate the sight of snow.
YOU SHOULD BE DEAD, the voices in Silverr's memory screamed. YOU SHOULD BE DEAD. MURDERER. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT.
