By noon, Kurt Wagner’s name was on every pair of cracked lips in town, if not further away already as well. It was spoken over whiskey shots and poker tables, and muttered by every man desperate for some easy gold. A dead-or-alive notice always drew the worst kind of hunters, the ones that didn't care about the alive part, even if it got them more money. It just wasn't worth the trouble.
