Summary
His brother sounds rushed and harried, and despite the knowledge that Ryland is always rushed and harried, it automatically puts Colt on edge. “Nothing bad, just–” Colt hears Ryland’s voice go muffled, like he covered the mic with his hand. He’s shouting over to someone that he’ll be back out in just a second. “–just, can you pick Court up?”
What? “Of course,” Colt says, “but I thought he was supposed to be at the park ‘til five?”
“Yeah, I just got a call from Sarah–she’s the one supervising–she told me that Court got hurt so she’d rather someone pick him up early.”
Following the absolute shitshow that was their father's death, Ryland is just trying to keep them afloat, Colt wants nothing more than to help, and Court is just trying his best to keep his head down.

“So,” Court started. “We’re both agents, but I get the feeling that your codename means something.”
Tangerine laughed. “Childhood nickname.”
“Oh? Explain,” Court hummed.
“My childhood or the nickname?” Tangerine asked, turning his head up so he could look at Court.
“Either works,” Court said in that soft voice he always used when he was tired.

Summary
In Teddy's defense, he was bored.
It'd all started when he retired from his job—from the murders and the danger, from jetting around the world on the beck and call of whoever paid well enough. He was getting a little old for it (though he would never admit it), and besides, he had a family to take care of now. And it wasn't like he needed the money. But Court spent most his days at work, Leo had found his own family across the pond, and Claire had school. Teddy, very suddenly, found himself with a lot of free time.
That was how he found himself sitting on the couch with his new laptop at 10AM searching up "things to do if you like fighting people and not much else".
That was also how he found Reddit.

Summary
It's something about the way Grace concentrates in the lab while she works. Something about that singular focus makes Simone want to be the thing she's studying.
