Summary
Shane and Ilya may be married, but Hayden still wants better for his best friend. When Montreal plays in Boston, Hayden tries to get some of the Raiders on his side. It doesn't go well. And it gets worse when Svetlana shows up.
This is part of a series and makes the most sense when read with the other parts. If you read it as a stand alone, just know that Shane & Ilya were never outed to the world and got to come out on their own by posting their wedding photos. This takes place during the season after their wedding and Shane's first season in Ottawa.

Summary
If counting traumas points was a competition, Ilya was winning.
And thinking about this broke Shane’s heart into a million pieces.
So no, selfishly, he was not ready to ask. He would rather focus on worshipping his husband and making sure each loving touch would put balm onto his most profound wounds.
Realistically, Shane wasn’t dumb to think it worked that way, that it was enough, but he would try his hardest to make it count. To counter balance the ugliness with happiness.
Or, what if Ilya had more traumas than we thought ?
