Summary
All John had ever wanted to do in life was fly but after he is caught in flagrante with a fellow Air Force Academy cadet, he is expelled and his dreams dashed. His father offers him an olive branch to come home again and John realizes that he still has choices.
Years later, the MCRT are assigned the murder of a US Naval Aviator - a test pilot - whose assignment seems mysterious. Clues point them towards Sheppard Industries where they encounter John Sheppard, PhD PhD. As it turns out, there is much more than meets the eye, and Tony is the lucky member of the MCRT whose background check allows him to be read into a program that is just... out of this world. Literally.
NOTE: This is an AU where John never got to join the Air Force but still manages to be part of the Stargate world.
