Agatha’s hand gripped their thigh, shaking her head.
“Baby no. You are way more important than some random guy okay? I love you and want you there with me.” She smiled at Rio, every word holding the weight of truth.
Rio’s lips wobbled slightly while smiling at Agatha, grateful for the reassurance. They took Agatha’s hand in theirs, bringing it up to their lips, softly kissing it.

Nicky‘s head cooked to the side while his gaze maintained fixed on his teacher. He usually warned all of his teacher to better not get in contact with his parents -even though it wasn‘t really necessary because he rarely did something wrong- but this time the school fully deserved the wrath of his mothers.

Summary
Somewhere in the Caribbean Sea, a merchant ship is attacked by the Lady Death, a pirate ship commanded by the formidable, well-known and feared Captain Rio Vidal. The crew is quickly tied up and interrogated, including a young woman who introduces herself as Agnes. But she seems a little too elegant in her appearance, her clothes too neat, her hands too delicate, and when another prisoner reveals Agnes’s real name, her lie is exposed.
Agatha Harkness, the only daughter of the powerful Governor Harkness, is unmasked. She has run away from her strict mother, who wants to marry her off to a rich man, and boarded the first ship that agreed to take her with them without asking questions.
Seeing this as an opportunity to demand a large ransom from her mother, the captain decided to keep her alive rather than throw her overboard. But what he hadn’t anticipated was becoming so attached to her and to her presence on his ship; and as for Agatha, who was supposed to be treated as a prisoner, she hadn’t expected to feel freer on this ship than she had ever been in her entire life.
And as the days went by, the thought that Agatha might one day return home, was becoming increasingly unbearable for both of them.

"The in—" Agatha's sigh cuts her off and her laugh enters Rio's space, "Can you not even say the word sex, Rio?"
"I can—" Rio's ears feel hot, and she snatches the beer back, eyes finding the doorway, but there's no one there but them, "I can say sex."
"Oh, can you?" Agatha presses in close until they're almost touching. Rio's not—she's not great with touch; she doesn't receive it much in any capacity. "Because to me, it sounded like you're nervous in the way someone who's never been touched is." Agatha's lips curl into a grin like she's already excited for her next words, and she gasps, over exaggerated, "Are you a virgin, Rio?"

Summary
Rio loved the Little Dribblers. Five-year-olds were surprisingly competent on the basketball court, and they were ridiculously cute. Coaching the team was also a fantastic ego boost. All of the kids and their parents adored Coach Rio. Barring Agatha, of course. But Rio had no self-preservation instinct and liked getting yelled at by pretty women, so it was fine.
Agatha, on the other hand, hated the Little Dribblers. She wished she’d never signed her son up for the stupid basketball team. Agatha knew Nicky was the worst player on the team. That wasn’t the problem. She couldn’t care less about her son’s lack of athletic ability—he’d inherited it from her. The problem was Nicky’s new obsession with the coach of said basketball team—something he may have also inherited from her.
OR: The one where Rio coaches Nicky's basketball team, and Agatha has to deal with the consequences.
