Dick has never had these needs go unmet before, and no amount of education prepared him for this.

Summary
The squiggle on July 19th resolves into Dick’s hasty scrawl: “Tim’s bday!!!”
Shit. Tim almost drops the mugs.
It’s pretty clear, between the number of exclamation points in the calendar note and the fact that none of the Bats are scheduled to patrol that night, that Dick is planning a surprise birthday party for Tim.
Tim very vehemently does not want a surprise birthday party. Parties, presents, and being the center of attention are all at the bottom of Tim's birthday ranking spreadsheet. Tim's birthdays aren't supposed to be celebrated by other people!
Tim grimly puts the mugs in the sink and mentally rearranges some of his morning meetings. Tim only has 6 days to figure out how to save his birthday from disaster.

Damian had always been a boy. Sure, he observed at the age of 19 months that he did not have a penis, but when he’d questioned his mother, she had said that being a boy was about action, and dress, and respect. “You are the Heir to the Demon’s Head, my heart,” she’d said, cradling Damian in her arms. “The Heir cannot be a woman.” And Damian took it to be immutable truth.
But now Gotham Academy has a form, with multiple gender options, and Father is asking him to choose.
Damian has quite a bit of research to do. Good thing he has many siblings to consult!
