Summary
By the time Jason Todd is 23 -- in body if not in spirit -- he thinks he understands the path laid out ahead of him.
He will serve Gotham (more than willingly) and Batman's mission restrictions (somewhat more reluctantly) until it finally, permanently kills him or he outlives his father -- and his father's emotional grip on him. Depressing? Maybe. Especially as things between the two of them are as rocky as ever. Inevitable? Yes, at least when he can't seem to stop himself from returning to Bruce's orbit despite everything. Then, a freak visit from an old sometimes friend-sometimes enemy turns Jason's entire world on its head and he wakes up in his preteen body with over ten years of memories that haven't happened yet on one of the most pivotal days of his young life.
Armed with the knowledge of what followed, Jason decides to take hold of his future and set it down a very different path -- with hopefully a better ending.
Featuring Magical!Jason Todd, the League of Assassins, Talia al Ghul trying to be the best mother she can given the circumstances, various sword-wielding Wilsons, and more toddlers than expected.
