Dear Captain Leap,
If this letter reaches you, then plan "keep Captain Leap and the crew up to date on the future goings on of Palisade" is a go. "Stop Motion" mission is also a go. We've rustled up a decent number of clues already, but it's time for some on the ground intelligence.
It's Palisade and there's a war on, so I anticipate plenty of the aforementioned goings on. There's always some bullshit goings on going on. Lots to write home about. Even if it's just "My stupid planet fucked up my life AGAIN. Cloudy. Some explosions. Expect the same tomorrow. Etc etc etc."
Still, there's a job to do, and you said I'm the man for it. Will rendezvous with Blue Channel at earliest opportunity. Don't have too much fun without me.

Summary
AU where 1) the game lore is more integrated with the comic lore, 2) a bunch of plot holes are removed, and 3) everyone is queer. Diverges from canon at Issue 4.
Coming face to face with the gods - a bunch of jackasses who call themselves totems - was not part of the plan. Starting to see supernatural stuff shortly afterwards was not part of the plan. Going on an epic quest to fix his screw ups was not part of the plan. Ooga's getting kind of tired of things not going according to plan.
It would have helped if he had actually had a plan, but even if there had been a plan, none of that stuff would have been part of it.
