[Just as Feng Xin opens his mouth to ask what’s up with the wedding, the groom himself walks in. He’s accompanied by someone in white, almost a head shorter than him, who Feng Xin presumes to be the bride. Her hair is brown and soft looking, not the rat’s nest of a captive. He supposes she’d have to be well kempt if Crimson Rain is parading her around, showing off his newest conquest. She’s facing away from him to greet the shopkeeper, but the moment she turns-
“Your Highness?!” Both Feng Xin and Mu Qing shout in unison.]
Heaven catches wind of a wedding in Ghost City. Feng Xin and Mu Qing are sent to investigate. Chaos ensues.

E’ming is rattling at his side like the ascension bell, and Hua Cheng hasn’t removed his hands from his mouth to smack it, hasn’t even looked at it. His eye is locked on Xie Lian, entirely unmoving except for how he trembles.]
Or: Xie Lian gets (literally) tied up paying someone else's debt. It brings back memories for him and the ghost who came to collect. Luckily, the ghost brought back up in the form of an assistant who really deserves a raise.
