Summary
When Xelqua fled the ruins of the world they had built, the world they built for the Watchers, but had tried to make their own, they truly thought that was the end of things. As Grian, he found a new home among the Hermits, and planned to lie low and simply not draw the Watchers' attention. But they found him. Of course they found him.
Forced into a death game with people he cares about is terrible. What's worse is that he wins. If you can call that winning.
And then the Watchers tell him that they plan on making more of these games. Now that they've found such a reliable source of negative emotions to feed on, and get the bonus of punishing him for his rebellion, they don't plan on giving that up.
(A Desert Duo and Flower Husbands Centric fic with bonus Treebark and Shiny Duo where Grian was always a Watcher, Scott is the Watchers' favorite character, and the winners must team up to try and end the games, as they are the only ones who remember)
