Summary
Deathstroke didn't have to.
He really didn't have to.
Finding a small black-haired and blue-eyed boy on the grimy streets of Gotham was never part of the plan. Taking him wasn't either. Raising him was out of the question. But here he was, Deathstroke the Terminator, raising a wisecracking apprentice who could simultaneously make the mercenary proud and get on his every nerve. Deathstroke trained the boy, trained him well. But something made him hesitate, something like fear.Deathstroke would never admit it, never out loud anyway, but in all his years of killing and living up to his name... he didn't want to lose that boy. Overprotective was never in Deathstroke's vocabulary, but this boy was different, he could work wonders.

Summary
Bruce didn't hate humans, he didn't exactly like them either. They took away his parents, but they also gave him Alfred. They took this pup's parents, and now it was Bruce's turn. They were not even close to similar mers, but they were united by their trauma, and a tank.
Or, I love gen mer fics and can't find enough with Bruce and Alfred also being mers so here I am. Clark and the rest of the JL are acting as the humans here to take care of them, but Bruce and Alfred are the real MVPs because they're idiots who don't understand how mers work. This one is short, but its 100% self-indulgent. And yes I have an idea for every bat child. They'll get their own stories. If I feel particularly inspired I'll add to one or another.

Summary
Bruce was aware humans had great potential for both good and evil. He knew both sides fairly well, having grown up as the prince of a kingdom with beloved rulers who shared kindness and prosperity to their subjects. His parents were taken from him at a young age, showing him in detail how bad humans could be. Once of age, he decided to travel to the mountains to train, no greater teacher than the old and knowledgeable vampire Ra's al Ghul. The vampire had morals Bruce didn't agree with, but that was fine, Bruce wasn't intending to stay. He learned then, that it was not just humans who had the potential for great evil.
Bruce escaped with the help of a creature he named Bat, given its wings and habit of sleeping upside down. The beast had been loyal to the vampire, but when Bruce showed that not all humans were as evil as Ra's made them out to be, Bat took a chance, and Bruce planned to never lose that trust.
Bruce and Bat find themselves a long way from the mountain, safe at last, when they find the remanents of a culture razed to the ground and an impossible child.
Or, Bruce and a batmobile stand-in find a wounded and orphaned bird boy, Bat is 100% responsible for all adoptions and Bruce can't say no

Summary
Bruce hasn’t had Dick Grayson for very long, he wasn’t sure he was cut out for being a parent. The boy was still well under the influence of his manipulators, The Court of Owls messing with the fragile young mind too strong willed to be completely sucked under. It created a different problem, a child caught between freedom and enslavement within their own mind. A child so conditioned he would find any weapon possible for no discernible reason. Bruce had to confiscate so many already, but this time, when Bruce came down the stairs to find his child talon who had abandoned his room in search of more knives, he found the boy shivering instead.
Or, Bruce has a smol murder bean who is very scared and very cold, knives are obviously the answer until Bruce gives him a hug

Summary
Exactly as the title says, random one-shots of my Talon!Dick stories I’ve been collecting in my brain. This is also me attempting to write *short* stories and not long grueling plots.
Ideas are welcome, I’ll be sure to give credit for ideas where credit is due but I do have more than a few myself and that’s why it’s here in a big series.
Unrelated AUs will have their own stories, if I add any more to the same AU they will just be another chapter, not another story so it’s all organized and I’ll add tags as necessary.
Enjoy!
