Summary
She’d been tossed around by time before: her age — her ages, that is, often several at once — meant nothing to her, or maybe meant too much. This, she figured, was just jetlag on a much larger scale, and if anyone was equipped to deal with it, she was. She’d skipped enough school, and faked enough jobs, and lost enough hope already, so if she was to be a cosmic plaything for a little while, so what? She was nothing if not resilient, or she was nothing when not resilient. All this meant, perhaps, was that she had nothing better to do.

Summary
Staring at the two Isu Goddesses, Desmond fights against the despair trying to rise up inside of him. Death, or the world burns. He always thought in the back of his mind that he was fighting a losing fight. He always knew fighting this fight with the Assassins against the Templars could be the death of him. But, and perhaps it was the parts of him that had become Ezio and Altair as much as himself, he knew it was worth it. He knew he would sacrifice himself a thousand times over if it meant the world and his friends were safe.
"There is another option," A surprisingly hesitant Minerva says. "One of my final experiments that I connected to the Eye. There is no way of knowing what it will do though. It never got the chance to be tested."
"What is it?" Desmond asked, desperate for even the smallest chance to make it through this and make sure Juno isn't set free on the world.
"A Temporal Displacement machine," Minerva said. "In simple terms, a time machine. When you activate the eye it will activate and send you back years to your closest relative."
Desmond nods, "Let's do it. Nothing left to lose anyway."

Summary
Desmond is reborn as Desmond Sand, Oberyn Martell’s fifth child and only son. With the memories of his past life and wanting to kick start a Brotherhood in this new world, he first needs to contend with the fact that his desire to save people means he ends up married. But for the good of the people, Desmond complies, especially if it means assassinating a few specific people to hopefully end the war.
