Cautiously, he continued to scratch, prompting the rumbling that resonated from within Mydei’s chest to swell in volume until it vibrated through Phainon’s arm and up his spine to short-circuit his brain.
Purring. Mydeimos, the Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos, walking war machine and Chrysos Heir of Strife, was purring like a placated cat under his hand.
Oh, sweet Kephale, Phainon thought, and a strangled choke that sounded like a dying chimera crawled out of his throat.
Or; when Phainon offers to scratch a literal itch on Mydei's back during a meeting, he makes a discovery that permanently alters his brain chemistry.

Summary

Or; after returning to duty from postnatal leave, Soshiro struggles with anxiety at being separated from his daughter during the day. Mina notices this and sends him home, where Soshiro promptly makes out with his husband, has a few heart-to-hearts, and figures out a solution. Eventually.
