He wants to cloak himself in darkness until even Nyx herself can’t find him, fall backwards into Chaos itself, sink heavy and useless into his grandparent’s domain and scatter into a million different parts. He wants to go to Elysium and bring the King and the Bull low there just to hear the crowd’s cheers for him, a million blurred faces who don’t know who he is or what he’s done and never will-- and love him despite.
It’s not real love, of course; they just like the show.
