Summary
(A self indulgent re-imagining of a highly visual show. No knowledge of RWBY is really required, but you should watch it anyways. It's good.)
In the world of Remnant, monsters known as the creatures of Grimm flood the wilderness, intent on wiping out all of mankind. In response, the four kingdoms created specialized Huntsman academies to train the next generation in the ways of combat. While in training, students are put into groups of four and given titles made up from the first letter of each of their names. Some day they'll grow to become protectors of their respective nations, fighting for the good of the people and warding off injustice.
In the present day, Ruby Rose, a young girl living in the kingdom of Vale, finds herself being unexpectedly accepted into one of these academies and given the position of leader in team RWBY (Ruby). The team threatens to split up almost as soon as it's formed, and Ruby is forced to push through her anxious tendencies in order to keep her new friends together. In the midst of their reconciliation, however, these Huntsmen in training will have to take on the role of protectors earlier than expected as they become tangled in a sinister plot by Vale's biggest crime boss.

Summary
This AU is my take on the story of RWBY with all the twists and turns that I think would make for a compelling narrative. The amount of changes from big to small are too many to count, so you'll just have to trust me on this one. This whole series is gonna be super self-indulgent, but only in the sense that characters I like will survive while characters I love will suffer tremendously!
My goal here is to make you go “Huh, well that sounds cool” at least once every chapter :)
