Summary
Burdened with the curse of turning into a dangerous, massive werecat under the full moon, Catra hits rock bottom and is ready to end it all. Then she gets a strange email, an unclaimed inheritance, and suddenly she's starting over in a quaint little town called Fright Zone. Wherever Catra goes, bodies pile up without her control. The beast inside is dangerous and insatiable and Catra can never contain or control it. Will Fright Zone truly be the key to salvation? Or could that come in the form of one nosy, overly kind townsfolk named Adora? Catra shouldn't want someone, that's the most dangerous thing of all. Especially when the beast inside wants Adora too.
Adora senses something strange and compelling about Catra the moment they meet in the pouring rain. Her better sense screams at her to run, but she ignores it. She senses someone in need, and Adora is a glutton for punishment. It doesn't help that Catra us unbearably beautiful, even if horribly rude. A newcomer to Fright Zone is rare, especially one with so much history. Adora tells herself she's just helping someone whose at the end of their rope, not that she recognizes something in Catra's lost, anguished face. Not that she resonates with it, too.
