Summary
"This is unfortunate," Garling muttered, as if commenting on the weather. "Had I known your mother had such questionable blood in her veins, I would have not pursued her. But what is done is done; we are to deal with the consequences now. You cannot meet Lord Imu in this disgraced state."
Shamrock bit his lip, copper flooding his mouth. Mother was a taboo subject; one that father sometimes opened, but even then he was never allowed to ask about her. All he knew, even to date, was that he had her features.
And now.
That she was a D
Only their enemies had feathered wings. It was the one way they could be noticed even when they did their outmost best to hide. Some, brought to heel as Monkey D. Garp had been, had theirs cut off, of course.
Like father was now planning to do with Shamrock
After the war, Shamrock is to stand trial for his crimes. What he does not expect is either the wings that had been cut off growing back again or his Prince deciding to claim him back. Shanks is horrified with the first revelation and unhappy with the second.

Summary
Ace had never wanted to be a marine. He thought they were boring and corrupt and way too uptight. They valued order and submission over freedom and were relentless in their attempts at cleansing those they deemed 'undesirable' from the world. And since Ace was one of those they considered as such, he hated them even more.
And then life somehow got worse and he was told—with no chance to protest—that he was going to join the Marines once he came of age and he would spend his life there. No amount of protesting or arguing could sway his grandfather and while Ace could have probably just told him to go to hell and done what he wanted anyway, he couldn't because the man at the head of it all knew all about Ace's inherited crimes and had told them that should Ace refuse, he would tell the entire world who Ace was and exactly where they could find him.
Or, Ace is a marine and he hates it but he doesn't have a choice. Or does he?

Summary
Marine Captain Portgas D. Ace has one dream. One goal. Well — two, actually.
1. Protect everyone who matters. (Luffy. Deuce. His unit.)
And —
2. Make a name for himself. Become something the world his father once led will fear.
But one badly timed — or maybe perfectly timed — encounter leaves him wondering… if there might be room for a third dream.Bookmarked by Johnny (Cabrasafado)
