This fic was truly a delight. Seeing them try to play along with this romance plot where they are rivals when they are actually completely smitten with each other was not only incredibly charming but the moments they have were genuinely so super sweet. They are trying so hard.

Summary
This fanfic is the continuation of my fanfic “What I deserve” and comes directly after it.
Human Bill Cipher just almost destroyed the entire multiverse while trying to find a single world in which Ford loves him forever - and instead, he relived everything through Ford’s eyes, forcing him to admit he deserves the cold shoulder. The emotions are terrible and he would rather disappear for once. Too bad Ford decides he can obviously be a threat even in this form and bans him from leaving.
Or: A miracle happened and Bill Cipher ACTUALLY understands his wrongdoings, is ACTUALLY sorry and ACTUALLY wants to get better and love Ford the right way. But it would take another miracle to get a chance after everything.

A truly fantastic fic. First off, incredible and detailed ace rep. It was probably the most satisfying and encouraging ace fic I’ve seen so far. It was just done so super well. Second, it all seemed to progress pretty naturally. The redemption makes sense and you actually root for him to get better. In this fic you can truly tell that he is learning to care and is trying his best to become a better person, and it’s not just for some arbitrary bullshit reason. He tries so hard and truly wants to leave the past behind for his own mental health. Ford also doesn’t just get rid of sense. Even when he starts to fall in love again he doesn’t let his guard down. It is hard for him and they get together in a way that makes sense for their characters. It was truly a spectacular fic.
