Summary
“Uh, hi? I mean. Hi. I uh, got home early and wanted to see if you—I mean. I didn’t mean to see—”
Had it been just about anyone else, Derek would still have half a hope they hadn’t noticed. Stiles, unfortunately (actually, most of the time, fortunately, just really not this time), notices everything. And going off his inability to finish a full sentence and the red blooming across his cheeks—oh, he’s noticed.
“What do you want, Stiles?” Derek goes for casual, blasé; he pointedly does not look down to the waistband of his jeans, where he knows a strip of red lace is riding several inches higher than his beltline.

Or, the one where Stiles learns Derek's dirty little secret but it all works out for everyone in the end

Summary
"So, you're going to ruin your niece's baby shower with flowers in the wrong color?" the florist, Stiles, asks when they reach the counter. He pulls out a binder and starts flipping through it.
"Not ruin. Mildly inconvenience," Peter says.
"Right, messing with a hormonal pregnant woman seems like a great plan."
"To be fair, her fiance and the father of her baby is my ex-boyfriend," Peter says. "And we weren't broken up when they started 'dating'."
Stiles looks up at him in surprise. "And you're still getting her flowers?" he asks.
"It's under duress, I assure you," Peter says. He absolutely wouldn't be here if his alpha hadn't ordered it.
"Well, shit, yeah, let's get you some purple revenge flowers," Stiles says.

Summary
Stiles has always known he was different, that there was something inside him people were afraid of.
In a society where the supernatural is hunted and contained, sorcerers are stripped of their names, their freedom, and their humanity. After months of captivity behind concrete walls, Stiles manages to escape and disappears into the woods, where he finds a rebel group willing to take him in. But trust is fragile and Stiles carries a secret, a power he barely understands and cannot share.
Because if they knew the truth, if they knew what Stiles really was... They wouldn’t hate the cage that once held him.
They’d build a stronger one.

Summary
Derek knows what it feels like to not really have a choice, what it's like to be manipulated. He'd never take away someone's right to choose freely. The fear of even accidentally doing so is enough to hold him back from acting on his own feelings.
Stiles has never had a problem making his own choices, and fuck anyone who would try to tell him he can't.
(Or: Stiles gets bitten by a different alpha, but of course would prefer to have Derek as his alpha. And also just, you know, have Derek.)

Summary
It's inevitable that Scott and Stiles get pulled into the battle for the Beacon Hills territory when a rival pack of werewolves arrives. All Stiles wants is a summer free of supernatural shenanigans but, instead, he finds himself neck-deep in trouble, desperately trying to find ways to keep them all safe.
His plan is simple, really — now he just has to make everyone else see that, too.
If Stiles and Derek were on better terms, that would probably be a whole lot easier to accomplish. But then, as the threat from the rival pack draws nearer, the animosity between them slowly begins to change into something else entirely, much to Stiles' surprise.
